DVYFC Coach Requirements

All coaches, Football and Cheer, that intent to coach for the Diablo Valley Youth Football and Cheerleading Conference must complete a coaches' clinic.

All information must be complete and will only be accepted in its entirety. Coaches will be turned away at the door if they have only partial certification requirements.

Coaches, both Cheer and Football, must meet all of the requirements below before the conference will issue a Coaching Badge. All coaches must be badged prior to August 1, 2005 or prior to taking to the practice field. All coaches will be required to wear badges at practice and games. No exceptions. Coaches found to be in violation of this rule will result in a fine and possible suspension or expulsion.

Coaching Application and Consent / Release Form

Each coach must complete a DVYFC Application and sign a Consent/Release Form. This application must be complete and contain applicant's signature and picture. Returning coaches who have the original application on file will need to complete an update.

First Aid Certification

Each coach must have a current Standard First Aid with CPR card, which does not expire anytime during the season. A copy of this card, front and back, must be turned into the conference. Originals will not be accepted. This (or these) card (s) must be on it's own paper with no other coaching requirements. Please make sure that your name, organization, level that you coach (Pee Wee, Junior Midget, etc) is on this copy.

Coaching Certification

Each coach must supply a copy of their certification with the National Youth Sports Coaching Association. First time coaches will need to attend a clinic to complete certification and then supply a copy of this attendance with their coaching requirements. Returning coaches will need to renew their membership and supply a copy of this renewal with coaching requirements. This membership information must be a copy, on it's own paper, with no other coaching requirements. Please make sure that your name, organization, level that you coach (Pee Wee, Junior Midget, etc.) is on this copy.

Picture

Each coach must bring a picture, head and shoulder shot. This picture is to be clear, no hats, and cut to a 2" x 2" size. No exceptions. This is in addition to the one that is attached to their coaching application.
